KSU Bags Awards at Tabuk City Mangwa Creative Festival

 

Kalinga State University bagged the award under the Digital Interactive Media category during the awarding ceremony of the Mangwa Creative Festival on November 29 at the Davidson Hotel.

The Tabuk City Mangwa Creative Icons, organized by the city government and DTI-Kalinga, recognizes individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to the city’s cultural and creative sectors. These sectors include traditional cultural expression, performing arts, design, print media, audio-visual, and digital media.

Seminar-Workshop on Gender-Responsive Case Management and Technical Writing Equips KSU and ISAP-K Social Work Students for Field Practice

The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program of Kalinga State University (KSU) successfully hosted a Seminar-Workshop on the Helping Process and Documentation in Gender-Responsive Case Management cum Technical Writing on November 20, 2024, at the Research and Development Building, KSU Bulanao Campus.

KSU Empowers Indigenous Peoples Through Policy Advocacy and Leadership Program

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga State University has triumphantly wrapped up its Indigenous Peoples Empowerment Program, an innovative venture crafted to invigorate Indigenous Peoples (IPs) to take an active role in shaping policy and championing their rights. President Joy Grace P. Doctor Joins Regional Agricultural Research Leadership at CorCAARRD Meeting

KSU President Joy Grace P. Doctor embarks on a new responsibility in the Cordillera region's agricultural research as she is introduced as a new member of the Regional Research and Development Coordinating Council (RRDCC) of the Cordillera Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development (CorCAARRD). Dr. Doctor attended her first CorCAARRD meeting today, November 26, 2024, coinciding with the organization's 46th anniversary.

KSU Accountancy Students Showcase Talent and Creativity in NSTP-CWTS Outreach Event

Kalinga State University Freshmen students from the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program delivered an impressive display of talent and creativity during their NSTP-CWTS outreach activity held on November 22, 2024, at St. Theresita’s School of Tabuk City covered court and AVR.

The event featured a series of performances and competitions, with the biblical story of Daniel and the Lions’ Den as the centerpiece. The students’ dramatic retelling of the story showcased their acting skills and dedication, earning praise for its energetic and impactful presentation.

Kalinga State University Advances Bamboo Industry Development in Partnership with Pasil LGU

Determined to consistently exert efforts in promoting the Bamboo preservation and sustainability over the entire province of Kalinga, Foresters from the university visited the municipality of Pasil on November 28, 2024 to present a brief orientation of their project on Bamboo Industry Development.

Led by project team leader, Forester Victorino Bayed, the team was given the opportunity to present the university’s project during the 2nd semestral Municipal Development Council (MDC) meeting of LGU Pasil, held at Amdalao, Guina-ang, Pasil Kalinga.

KSU Agriculture Students Explore the Role of Beneficial Arthropods and Microorganisms in Sustainable Farming

On October 28, 2024, Fourth-year BS Agriculture students majoring in Animal Science and Crop Science recently embarked on a significant learning journey to the Horticulture Research and Training Institute (HORTI) in Benguet State University. The field trip, conducted under the subject Crop Prot 14: Beneficial Arthropods and Microorganisms, aimed to enhance students' understanding of the role of biological control agents in sustainable agriculture.

KSU Faculty Participate in Prestigious Arithmetic Algebraic Geometry Workshop in Vietnam

Two faculty members from Kalinga State University's College of Engineering and Information Technology, Mrs. Pommy Frances Viloria and Mrs. Cecille Amon, recently participated in the School and Workshop on Selected Topics in Arithmetic Algebraic Geometry held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from October 28 to November 2024. Both educators specialize in teaching mathematics subjects and represented KSU in this significant academic event.

KSU and PHO Launches “Rock for Health and Art for Life” Campaign to Promote Smoke and Vape-Free Communities

The Provincial Health Office of Kalinga in partnership with Kalinga State University conducted a Live Band and on- the- Spot Poster Making Competition in support for the Kalinga Provincial Ordinance No. 2024-011 or the Comprehensive Smoke and Vape Free Ordinance of the Province of Kalinga.
