Kalinga State University joins CARSUCs in the grand parade and opening program of the 2024 CARASUC Athletic Meet held at the Apayao Exo-Tourism and Sports Complex, Luan, Apayao.

In his message, Keynote Speaker Sen. Christopher Laurence "Bong" Go emphasized his advocacy in the field of sports. "Ang bisyo ko po ay magserbisyo sa ating mga kababayan." He added.

He also extended his gratitude to the CARASUC Athletic Meet 2024 Committee chaired by Dr.Eva Marie Dugyon, all SUC presidents and officials and the PLGU of Luna, Apayao.

CARASUC Athletic Meet 2024 is scheduled,April 29 to May 3,2024 with the theme,, "Bidlisiw: Paghilom, Pagbangon at Pagsulong."

Municipal Local Government of Flora Welcomes KSU delegation to the 2024 CARASUC Athletic Meet

Headed by the Municipal Mayor of Flora, Apayao, Hon. Rodolfo B. Juan, the officialdom of said municipality warmly welcomed the KSU delegation to the 2024 CARASUC Athletic Meet, yesterday at the Dr. Efren U. De San Jose Memorial Sports Center.

Mayor Juan who was a former Barangay Captain of Bulanao way back 1989 to 1992,expressed his gratitude to the Kalinga Delegations. "Iyebkas ko t nabara nga ayat mi nga mangsarabo kadakayo amin, we want you to feel the immense love we have for all of you", he added.

Distribution of Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) Beneficiaries

The Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) is a one-time financial assistance program provided by CHED Chairperson, J. Prospero E. De Vera III to the Fifty (50) deserving selected students in the University. The beneficiaries received Twenty-Five Thousand Pesos (25, 000).

Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang, University President in his opening message gave a brief overview of the assistance, how it was given to the university, and extended his profound gratitude to CHED Chairperson De Vera for providing Fifty (50) slots to the students in the University.

The event was enriched by the special involvement of selected students from KSU-Laboratory Senior High School, who presented a captivating performance featuring a song and dance of solidarity. Kalinga State University Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Consultation

In accordance with statutory and regulatory mandates, Kalinga State University convened a Budget Consultation session for Fiscal Year 2025 today. The aim of this consultation was to meticulously craft and refine the university's budgetary framework, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational necessities. The outcome of this consultation will be formally presented at the Regional Budget Consultation scheduled for February 27 in Baguio City, where it will undergo rigorous evaluation and approval processes.

Kalinga State University Commemorative Mass: A Ceremony of Remembrance and Healing

Today, the Kalinga State University family gathered at HAARRDEC Park for a solemn requiem and healing mass, a cherished tradition within our university's calendar of events. This is to offer prayers for the departed loved ones of KSU employees and extending healing prayers to those currently facing health challenges.

The mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Romeo Dawaton, parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Parish, who led the congregation in reflection and prayer. In attendance were university officials, faculty members, staff, and students.

KSU Criminology, Political Science, and Public Administration Students Attend Bodong Congress

The Province of Kalinga on February 10-11, 2024, hosting one of the most significant events of the year: the Bodong Congress. Held at the Kalinga Sports Complex, this congress is one of the highlights of the 29th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and the 5th Bodong Festival, drawing in thousands of participants. Among the attendees were students and faculty members from Kalinga State University (KSU), particularly those from the Criminology, Political Science, and Public Administration and Indigenous Governance departments, along with designated faculty focal persons.

Kalinga State University Students Revive Bodong Tradition for Kalinga 29th Founding Anniversary and 5th Bodong Festival

Students from the Kalinga State University- College of Public Administration and Indigenous Governance played a central role in the portrayal of a bodong—a traditional peace pact—between Bangad and Banao tribes, both encompassed within the "binodngan" area. This portrayal, involving 120 students from the College of Public Administration and Indigenous Governance, was a significant feature of the Kalinga founding anniversary and 5th Bodong Festival.
