Kalinga State University is ablaze with pride as it celebrates the outstanding achievement of Ms. Febie Gel Laquiao Dagson, who clinched the 8th position in the 2023 Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET). Hailing from the picturesque Man-obal, Tinglayan, Kalinga, the 20-year-old prodigy graduated with the highest academic distinction, Summa Cum Laude, in June 2023 from the Kalinga State University, having completed her Bachelor in Elementary Education.
Ms. Dagson, a shining star among six siblings, was nurtured in the academic ethos by her parents, Mr. Benet Walis Dagson and Mrs. Nancy Laquiao Dagson, both esteemed educators themselves.
In an exclusive phone interview with the University Information Officer, Mary June Wacas, Ms. Dagson expressed her gratitude to Kalinga State University, acknowledging the crucial role played by her professors in the College of Education, her ever supportive family, and all those who contributed to her remarkable success.
When questioned about the strategies that led to her LET triumph, Ms. Dagson humbly shared her reliance on faith, stating, "I prayed to God, and I came across the Bible verse, 'Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you receive, and it will be yours.'" She emphasized setting clear goals, dedicated and rigorous review, familial encouragement, regular intake of vitamins, and ample rest as crucial elements in her journey to excellence.
Graduating as the second child in her family, Ms. Dagson has proven her academic prowess since her early years. She secured the top 2 spot in elementary and the coveted top 1 position in high school at the KSU Laboratory High School.
Looking ahead, Ms. Dagson envisions a future as a national lecturer and college instructor at KSU. Her plans include inspiring the next generation of educators and contributing to the academic legacy of her alma mater.
In the wake of this remarkable achievement, Kalinga State University extends its congratulations to Ms. Febie Gel Laquiao Dagson, an epitome of academic excellence and a source of inspiration for aspiring educators nationwide.
