n celebration of the 2023 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW), the Kalinga State University Project Community-Level Evaluation and Assessment of Rain-Induced Landslide Susceptibility (CLEARS) team attended the launching of the mobile application and web system today at Bangued, Abra. This is in partnership with Department of Science and Technology- Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR), and in collaboration with the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD-CAR).
With the theme, "Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan”, this event was distinguished by the formal signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between KSU represented by our university president, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang and the DOST-CAR and OCD-CAR for the implementation of Phase II of CLEARS project. This signifies our relentless pursuit for disaster resilience throughout the region.
KSU and DOST CLEARS team is also conducting a CLEARS application orientation and unveiling of the CLEARS exhibit. These strategic moves are designed to disseminate vital information and deeply engage our community, fostering widespread adoption and effective utilization of the CLEARS system.
The KSU-CLEARS team was led by Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang with his members, Dr. Ronald U. Wacas, Engr. Rhonjohn R. Garming, Engr. Gine O. Ganagan, Engr. Jasmin Malaga, Mr. Mathew Jun P. Mariani and Mr. Joseph Christian c. Padin.
