Patterned with the trendy expression “Mekus Mekus”, KSU’s 2023 Intramurals and Socio-Cultural Festival themed Move, Energize, Kindle, Uplift and Succeed, Making Every KSUan Unite in Sports and Socio-Cultural Activities.
November 28, 2023, this 2023 “Mekus Mekus” Intramurals officially Kicked off! with a grand parade participated by students and faculty from various Colleges. The busy grounds of the University were made even livelier by the echoing cheers and yells.
Highlights of the Opening preliminaries are the expression of appreciation and message from Bulanao Centro Brgy Captain Hon. Cosme Gunnawa as the event Guest of Honor and speaker. Following the Oath of Sportsmanship led by Semi-Finalist SCUAA Chess Player, Mr. Martin Gunday, was the lighting of Torch by the SCUAA National Athletes and officially declaring the Opening of the Intramurals and Socio-Cultural festival by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Marilou Adora, representing the University President, Eduardo T. Bagtang who briefly delivered a message of acknowledgment and support for the week-long activity.
Blessed with rainy weather, scheduled games, and socio-cultural competitions pushed through on the second day. Fast-tracking each game and socio-cultural competition's results and updates, the university applauds the creative minds of the university's students press “Earthline” for their beyond efforts to remark on the achievements of students from various colleges through their writing and photography skills.
November 30, 2023, marks the third day of the event, participating students continued to excite their audiences with their surprising talents and skills in various sports and socio-cultural activities.
To conclude the success of this week-long activity is the formal closing of the Intramurals & Socio-Cultural Fest on December 1, 2023, at 3:00 PM.
Evidently through unity, the University always proves that Mobilized with Energy and Enthusiasm Kindles Unity resulting to Success.
