Around Five Hundred (500) student grantees of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) in Kalinga State University have gathered today, September 20, 2024, at the KSU gymnasium to attend the TES Orientation Program and on TES release of Stipends for the new and continuing grantees.
Spearheaded by the Office of the Internal Audit Unit, headed by Mr. Bernardo C. Ganotice IV also the TES Focal person, the orientation began with his discussion of RA 10931 and Free Higher Education. TES Technical Staff, Ms. Jennifer L. Isidro lectured about the TES Process flow. Before the orientation began, University President Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang expressed his gratitude for the opportunities given to the university students. He emphasized the importance of this assistance, stressing that it should not be taken for granted but be used wisely to fulfill its true purpose. Moreover, he expressed his high expectations to all the grantees that is to finish their degrees while benefiting from these grants and reminded them to look back and recall those who contribute to their successful story in the future.
Part of the activity is also the conduct of an open forum facilitated by Ms. Mary Fayne T. Aligao, Internal Auditor II which aims to address concerns from the grantees. The success of the program was concluded through a closing remarks by IAU Technical Staff, Ms. Liven Faith C. Lozano.
The release of TES stipends is expected before this month ends provided that the grantees will comply with all the necessary requirements.
