KSU hosts: 2024 Cybersecurity Advocacy Awareness and Promotion of DICT-CAR programs in Kalinga

Simultaneous with the opening of the University’s 2024 Intramurals, Information Technology (IT) officers from various government agencies, municipal local government unit, including the City and Provincial Local Government Unit joined the IT students of the university in the conduct of the 2024 Cybersecurity Advocacy awareness and Promotion of DICT-CAR programs in Kalinga.

Held at Kalinga State University Amphitheater on October 22, 2024, MS. Monalisa Vizcarra, the Head of DICT-Kalinga province together with the team from DICT-Cordillera headed by the Technical Operations Division chief Dr. Allan R. Lao conveyed the advocacy on awareness to Cybersecurity in Kalinga including programs of DICT for the province. These efforts aimed to promote awareness and address cybersecurity concerns which are extensive in today’s digital era. Promoting their programs also implies continuous efforts and commitment to enhancing digital communications among the people of Kalinga.

Part of the DICT event is hands-on training focused on Center Manager’s Training, Cybersecurity, Penetration testing and Generative AI for students conducted in the university’s IT laboratories.

Strengthening the DICT’s committed programs is the committed support from our Provincial Leaders, Hon. Congressman, Allen Jesse C. Mangaoang and Hon. Governor, James S. Edduba who were present to express their gratitude for the dedication and efforts for not leaving the province behind in terms of continuous enhancement of technology. Both leaders committed to support all initiatives beneficial for the province.
