Faculty members of Kalinga State University – Dagupan Campus took part in an in-house training session titled “Right Tools, Bright Rules: Achieving Goals in Writing Publishable Research” on December 6, 2024. The program aimed to boost research publication output and help meet the targets of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) and the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA).
The training featured two esteemed researchers and reviewers from Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus. Dr. Jay Emmanuel L. Asuncion kickstarted the session with a presentation on “Structuring Research Manuscripts,” offering practical insights that addressed participants' queries about effective research writing. Dr. Rudolf T. Vecaldo followed with an engaging discussion on “Mastering Citations and the Peer Review Process,” which demystified the intricacies of preparing research for publication.
In the latter part of the program, Ms. Zandjie Dominique Taya-an from CLASS and Ms. Angeline Labbutan from CBAA presented their research outputs for critique. The critiquing session encouraged lively interaction among the participants, who shared experiences and raised thought-provoking questions.
The training concluded with an insights-sharing segment led by Ms. Marinelle Tocyapao and Ms. Pepsi Lawad. Both participants, new to the publication process, expressed their appreciation for the knowledge they gained, highlighting the value of the lectures in guiding them through research writing and publication.
This initiative was spearheaded by a dedicated team comprising Dr. Abigail Quimosing-Ocay, Dr. James S. Guidangen, Dr. Loneza G. Carbonel, Ms. Odette C. Pannogan, Mr. Rodolfo B. Tucay, Jr., and Ms. Jovelyn P. Suma-al.
