Kalinga State University Participates in 124th Philippine CSC Anniversary Tree Growing Program

In celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) Anniversary, themed "Tree Growing for a Cause: Malasakit sa Kalikasan, Malasakit sa Lingkod Bayani," Kalinga State University employees engaged in a tree planting activity at the KSU Mulberry Farm, Rizal Campus, on September 20, 2024.

As part of the university’s commitment to environmental stewardship, this initiative builds on the foundation laid during the establishment of the Seri Culture program, which has previously seen 5.2 hectares of the 10-hectare mulberry farm planted. During today’s event, KSU employees successfully planted a total of 600 mulberry seedlings, further contributing to the university's efforts in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and enhancing the campus's green spaces.

This activity underscores KSU's dedication to environmental conservation and community involvement, aligning with the broader goals of the CSC in fostering a culture of care for the environment and public service.
