Kalinga State University College of Agriculture Celebrates Annual Recognition and Parents’ Day

The College of Agriculture at Kalinga State University (KSU) held its annual Recognition and Parents’ Day on June 25, 2024, at HARDECC Park. The event, which commenced at 1:00 PM, was attended by KSU officials, faculty, parents, and graduates.

Dr. Bernadette Aggabao opened the program with a warm welcome address. She emphasized the importance of education, saying, "Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence. We look forward to you utilizing your success to encourage those around you and set an example for future generations. We believe you can create a better tomorrow with the principles you have learned, including integrity and compassion, beyond these walls."

Dr. Ronda Vale Leyaley, Quality Assurance Director, represented the university president, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang. She began by thanking the parents for entrusting their children to KSU. She remarked, "You have finished a degree because we live in a society where a degree is very important, but that degree is not the only means to achieve your goals in life. It is the strength of character, intelligence, and belief in change that will transform your life."

In his closing remarks, Dr. Ferdinand L. Ganotice, incoming College Dean and Director for Research, encouraged the graduates to maintain their motivation in life's journey. He further said, "What truly matters is the motivation you carry forward in the game of life. Use the knowledge and skills you have acquired to overcome any obstacles in your way."

The event was a memorable celebration of the graduates' achievements and a heartfelt recognition of the support from their parents and the KSU family. /Julie Ann Agay-ay-DevCom OJT
