Kalinga State University (KSU) and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) have recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 6, 2023, to enhance education and training for cooperatives in the country. This partnership aims to improve the quality of training provided by Cooperative Training Providers (CTPROs) through the conduct of Training of Trainers.

The CDA, a government agency established under Republic Act 6939 and further strengthened by Republic Act 11364, also known as the "Cooperative Development Authority Charter of 2019," was represented by its Chairperson, Atty. Under the terms of the agreement, KSU will organize and facilitate sessions for trainers from both existing Accredited CTPROs and prospective applicants seeking CDA accreditation. The selection of trainers will be based on predetermined criteria and requirements set forth by the CDA.

Both parties have expressed their commitment to act in good faith and fulfill their obligations in achieving the objectives outlined in the MOA. They have also pledged to provide mutual assistance and cooperation to ensure the efficient and harmonious implementation of the partnership.

The MOA will come into effect upon the signing by both parties and will remain valid and binding unless terminated earlier through mutual written agreement.
