January 23, 2025. The second day of Kalinga State University's 32nd Founding Anniversary celebration was marked by a heartfelt recognition of dedication and excellence through the Loyalty and Service Awards, honoring employees who have served the university for 10 to 35 years and the retirees. The celebration also featured Outstanding Employee Awards, acknowledging individuals who significantly contributed to the institution's growth and development. Adding to the festivities, the university presented the Best Club Awards and recognized distinguished alumni for their exemplary service to the community.
Hon. Mayor Darwin Estranero, the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker, delivered an inspirational message in which he paid tribute to the founders of the university and acknowledged the tireless efforts of past administrations in establishing KSU’s reputable standing. He underscored the importance of remaining committed to innovation and social responsibility, emphasizing the need to develop programs that enhance educational opportunities and infrastructure.
Mayor Estranero also reaffirmed the City Government's partnership with the university, citing initiatives such as the allocation of funds for additional streetlights on the main campus and support for the Edu-Tourism and Heritage Center. Furthermore, he announced the inclusion of budgetary provisions in the 2025 City Budget for the expansion of the Dagupan Campus, evidence to his commitment to educational advancement in Tabuk City.
University President, Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, expressed her profound gratitude to Mayor Estranero and the Tabuk City Local Government Unit for their usual support of KSU's academic endeavors. She highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving the university’s mission to provide quality education and foster community development.
