Enhancing Professionalism through Language Proficiency: A Seminar-Workshop for Office Assistants

Recognizing the indispensable role of office assistants in organizational success, the Department of Languages at Kalinga State University conducted a two-day seminar-workshop titled "Empowering Personnel through Language Proficiency Training" on November 26-27, 2024, at the KSU Research and Development Hall.

The seminar aimed to enhance professionalism among participants by equipping them with effective communication skills. The training emphasized the importance of clear and accurate communication in conveying policies, engaging stakeholders, and fostering organizational efficiency. By minimizing misunderstandings, participants were shown how improved communication can increase productivity and project a professional image that reflects positively on their respective organizations.

Participants included employees from local government units in Kalinga and office clerks from KSU. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, attendees gained valuable insights into communication strategies that enhance their ability to handle workplace demands and maintain public trust in government and private institutions.

By fostering improved communication techniques, the training contributed not only to the growth of individual participants but also to the overall efficiency and credibility of their respective organizations.
