Kalinga State University- College of Education conducted a fellowship gathering with a theme, "Journey together to fulfill our purpose and potential" in preparation for the Licensure Examination for teachers (LET) examinees this coming Sunday, September 29, 2024.The program was held at the Student Center, Bulanao Campus, which brought together LET Takers, university officials, faculty and students.
This fellowship gathering is more than just a review session but a sharing of experiences, resources, offer words of encouragement, and celebrate each other's progress. It was graced with a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Roman A. Macaiba Jr., Superintendent, Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk and Apayao schools.
In her welcome remarks, Dr. Maria Cyrila P. Bawer, CoEd Dean, said that the gathering serves as a stepping stone, a tool for their journey into the world of teaching. She also assured that the gathering will help them boost their confidence in taking the board exam.
The highlight of the gathering was the sharing of inspirational messages from the faculty members and mentors wherein they focused on encouraging the takers to believe in themselves, to be vigilant, to always listen and check the instructions and to have faith in their intelligence with the help of our creator.
"Your failure is only the delay of your success, do your best and exert more effort". Dr. Marilou B. Adora, VPASD, added.
During the program, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang, University President, expressed his full support to the examinees, advising them to take the exam seriously and giving them words of encouragement through sharing his life’s anecdote.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Aristohersonel M. Pascual, adviser of the Student Body Organization, emphasized the significance of Luke 9:1-6, which illustrates how Jesus empowers His disciples to proclaim the kingdom of God, heal the sick, and fully trust in divine provision, even amidst rejection. He further articulated that this passage serves as a poignant reminder of the profound power and purpose entrusted to leaders, akin to those within our own community, who bear the critical responsibility of guiding and inspiring others.
