With the theme, "Resilient KSU Graduates: Rising Strong, Overcoming Boundaries, Transforming the Future." the Baccalaureate Mass and Recognition Ceremony of the Kalinga State University batch 2023 Graduates were held at the Kalinga Sports Center, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga today.
CPT Maylene B. Liwa-agan, PAF, expressed her gratitude to the university for having her as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Liw-agan, a Mestiza with her mother, Patricia Bangcod Liw- agan of Taloctoc, Tanudan and father, Delfin Umba-ang Liw-agan Sr. of Man ubal, Tinglayan shared her life story when she was still studying at the Kalinga State University, with her life tips on how to become successful. First, "Let God be your guide, kahit andami nating plano if wala si God, walang mangyayari." Second, do your best and God will do the rest." Third, "Respect, work with respect". "Always be kind and smile kahit anong nangyayari sa paligid natin, always smile. "Make your school proud, your parents proud, your family proud." These are her words of motivation to the graduates.
Liw-agan thanked her KSU teachers who moulded her for what she has become today.
KSU President, Dr. Eduardo T. Bagtang in his message, emphasized on the graduates to thank their parents for their success. “This is the day that you thank your parents. And I would also like to thank you for making Kalinga State University a part of your life. I then challenge you to inspire your next generation. I wish you all the best and bring home your success!"
Dr. Mary Joyce Wangiwang, Director for Student Services and Admission, in her opening remarks said, “Recognition Day is a culminating day of all the hard work. It is the day where students say, "I have done it.
Certificates were awarded to deserving graduates who showed exemplary performance both in academics and extracurricular activities in the university.
